…showed last 75 words of 572 total…his untimely death was a loss not only because of his poetic skill but also because of his compassion and humanity. Reading through his poems has given me a personally valuable insight into the life of my grandfather who was also an officer that suffered injury and spent time in a hospital. I have also gained an insight into the lives of many of the other people involved in many different aspects of the war.
