Without a doubt, Sax was a musical genius, with his knowledge in more than just the saxophone. Perhaps there is a connection with knowledge and the performance of the saxophone. Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons could have had Lisa playing any instrument he wanted, but he chose to display her as precocious and sensible, while she played the sax.
