It was the last day of October, and I was sitting on my back porch in the early evening watching the clouds gliding silently overhead.
While I sat and tried to discover the whereabouts of the moon I could hear the cheerful conversation of Jem and little Scout as they approached.
The school was having’ a function tonight at the hall and every kid was dressing up to put on a show for the parents.

…showed last 75 words of 1508 total…ever saying a word to her. After years of the children wondering about me they had seen me and been saved by me in one night, only too never see me again.
But I continued to watch, like always, and I watched silently as they grew older and they ran to meet their father each night whilst I sat in the shadows, watching their little episodes in the mini series I based on their lives.
