The tariffs on European goods in the 1800’s affected the United States in many ways, whether it was from the negative impacts of the Tariff of Abominations to the positive impacts of the American System. The discordant issue of tariffs contradicted America for a long period of time. Reluctantly the U.S. found reliable ways to manage these tensions.
