The legal drinking age has been a much debated topic since the repealing of the total prohibition of alcohol by the 21st amendment in 1933. for the government to discriminate against 18 year-olds. One can’t say a person is old enough to handle one responsibility but not old enough for some thing else that requires the same level of maturity. The age limit should be dropped to 18 and teens need to be educated better on alcohol and its effects. Doing this would give teens a good foundation for when they do decide to drink and make them more responsible drinkers.
