Roy Clark
Roy Clark is the son of two musicians. He was born on April 15, 1933 in Meherrin, Virginia. Clark began playing banjo, guitar and mandolin at an early age. By the time he was 14, he was playing guitar behind his father at local dances. In 1987, he was belatedly made a member of the Grand Ole Opry. During the 1990’s, Clark concentrated on performing at his theater in Branson, Missouri, sporadically releasing re-recordings of his big hits on a variety of small labels.
