Religion is a very controversial subject in today's political scene. Stephen L. Carter wrote an article, "The Culture of Disbelief," about religion in today's political society. <Tab/>Carter's article sarcastically says that religion is a joke in a political standpoint. Political leaders want the public to change or hide our beliefs so society will run more smoothly. I agree with Carter that it is ridiculous that society has to hide our religious values to protect the government, but I do believe that some religious activities should not be publicized.
