had listened to Akhilleus, who asked him to retreat after pushing the Trojans back, the Akhaians would have lost the war. Was Akhilleus’ spirit crushed or renewed by the death of Patrolokos? He refused to fight in the war because Aggamemnon wronged him. Could it be that he was full of spirit until the death of his best friend? Ironically, Patroklos killed Hektor by killing the spirit, and therefore the stubborness in his best friend.
