A car bomb ripped apart the Alfred Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City on Wednesday, April 19, 1995, demolishing nearly half the 9-story building. that made us think about our lives and how important they are. It's plain to see that the explosion did more than just remind us that terrorism happens. In our attempt to understand the bombers' motives, many Americans discovered just how bad the paranoia is among a small minority of people.
