Napoleon that abdicated again and fled to the city of Rochefort, where he gave himself up to the commander of a British ship. He was exiled on the island of St. Helena in the Atlantic Ocean. Here he spent his last days. He died on May 5, 1821, at the age of 51, presumably from stomach cancer.
