With all these different moods, characters and motifs placed into the reader’s minds with the first act, as well as through out the play, one can easily connect the overall tone of Macbeth to the beginning features. Shakespeare used such analytic sources for the first act to successfully unfold the idea of the play. This, combined with other marvelous strategies, I feel, has helped to make Shakespeare known as truly a great writer.
