…showed last 75 words of 407 total…nice change from the male heroes that we seemed to always focus on. I’ve probably read Island of the Blue Dolphins more than fifty times and each time I feel as though it is a completely different story from the last time I read it. Especially reading it as a little girl versus reading it now, I still connect with Karana, but it’s on a whole new level and I love that.
