In the poem “The Chimney Sweepers” William Blake illustrates through striking imagery the mistreatment and awful working conditions of the children. The imagery used was very essential to create moods, illustrate purpose, and get the point across. Furthermore, many other elements of poetry such as irony were demonstrated to more effectively reveal the theme.
