How Does A Bill Become A Law
In order for a bill to become a law, it must go through a step-by-step process. First the bill is introduced into congress by one of its members. Following that the bill is then referred to the appropriate standing committee with jurisdiction over the subject matter and then assigned to subcommittee for mark-up.

The enrolled bill is then sent to the President, if he signs it, it finally becomes a law but if he does not sign it and he vetoes it, it can still become a law if the congress approves it by a two-thirds vote; they can over ride the veto.
