…showed last 75 words of 1026 total…it was not worth doing because it would not have benefited the author in any way. The story of Gilgamesh only loses credit by making it into something it is not. Therefore, one can say the author or authors did not accomplish the task. Just as a wise person once stated, “If the shoe fits, wear it,” and in this case the story of Gilgamesh fits the characteristics of a myth – not a classical epic.
