As soon as the boys fist had made contact with Hales’ face Hale was released and spun around from the impact on his bare flesh. Hale spun to the ground to a sheltering heap of body, looking up, powerless waiting for the next blow to come, but it never did. The boy wasn’t there anymore he had disappeared without a sound or trace.
