In the Merchant’s Tale, Chaucer discuses how women can be deceitful, interfere in relationships, and make marriage a living hell. In the tale, the Merchant characterizes wives of a different sort. I believe all of the three things Chaucer discusses in the Merchant’s Tale are true by the actions of May, Prosperina, and Griselda.

…showed last 75 words of 658 total…that I have learned a lot from the Merchant’s Tale on the type of women I should both look and watch out for. Also, I have found out that women can be sweet and love you one minute and be trying to sneak around your back the next. Finally, the Merchant’s Tale was a very informative tale and has informed me about many things I was unclear on before I read it.
