As only one stanza actually describes to the reader ordinary every-day details, whilst the other stanzas clearly use imagery and symbolism to express her emotions, the poem is seen to be a clear example of William Wordsworth’s definition of poetry, “Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of feelings”.
